I ended up at this restaurant today because I was craving a pork souvlaki but have been constantly disappointed by anything in Etobicoke. I found it on this site – there were so many over the top reviews that I thought they must be phony. However, once I read the review where someone had an argument with the owner over coleslaw juice getting on their fries and said they’d never go back (but admitted it was the best fish and chips in Toronto) I knew this place must be good.
Well I didn’t have the fish and chips but WOW – I had the best pork souvlaki I’ve had in years. The Greek salad was simple with a really fresh dressing. Next time I’ll try the fish and chips for sure.

my friends and I were looking for a Korean restaurant with fresh taste and clean atmosphere and Steeles Seoul House definitely delivered our wants! The food was really good and the staff was really friendly too! I truly recommend saeng sun jjim (fried fish with oyster sauce) and sam gae tang (whole chicken soup with ginseng)! it's definitely a must go place!!!

I was here on a friday night te place is small and most likely family owned BUT the halibut and chips were delicious! The halibut is perfectly crisp and the fries are crisp but not overcooked!
An order of halibut and chips w/ a small order of coleslaw is $9.65 + tax which isn't bad at all! I will definitely be going back!

This is the Best fish and chip shop outside of England. My cousins and I always go there for dinner after a visiting the relatives at St Johns Cemetery. The service is excellent and they are always ready to answer questions about their history. Highly recomend.

I have been going to chubby’s for about 32 years now and can’t say enough about the restaurant! My husband and daughter love the burgers and fish and I love their fish and Greek salad ? haven’t had their burgers but I have no doubt they are amazing! We decided to go to McNies on a Saturday for lunch. We were greated by a very pleasant woman who would be our server. Our food arrived quickly and was great, the fish was nicely battered (not too heavily battered but not skimpy either). The service was also great, my boyfriend decided to get extra fries with his meal and our server told the kitchen to start them while we were eating so that when he was ready to eat them they would still be warm.

Moved out of the area and still made the trek back to this place. Ordered 6 halibuts in total and everyone was complementing the size and taste. The price was very reasonable and you get more than you would in many other places. The (I believe) owners are really nice.

I came on good friday april 19,2019. I had the new orleans salmon with baked potato with butter and sour cream and rice. Was absolutely amazing taste and cooked perfect. It came with diced tomatoes and cilatro with some shrimp in like a cajun butter sauce. With those delicious biscuits they famous for and i even had a side ceasar salad. If i wasnt actually impressed i wouldn’t come back. I havent been to red lobster for about 10 years but today i was stunned how good it was.

I love my spanish empanadas, but these Jamaican Beef empanadas or "Patties"..so they call them are extremely delicious...nice and spicy, the way i like it..
i tried beef and seafood patties and i had to drive back to buy 6 of each for my family to try.
i wish they had a "PATTY TIME" store in las vegas.
i cannot wait to revisit toronto again just for this food.

My fave fish and chips place! I've tried tried a couple of places in Toronto but this one for me has been the best. The crowd here generally is seniors. Food and service is great. I always get halibut for fish and chips. They make it nice and crispy, tastes fresh, and not too oily. The chips r fresh and filling. My friends enjoyed the food too when I take them.
