My wife and I went for lunch on Oct.19/11. This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but on the inside it is roomy and clean. The service is quick and efficient. My Rueben was an open sandwich with melted cheese on top with french fries. My wife had a lunch special. Both were very tasty (I would order the Rueben again... yum) The restaurant could stand an upgrade to the decor, but it's the quality of the food that counts... and it's good! Lire plus

After a long drive from Hamilton I was ready to eat anything, and this was in sight from where I had to go. As soon as my business was done I headed in, not realising that it was already 9:15 and they close at 9:30 on a Monday. After I had filled my first plate the hostess informed me of the closing time, but she said that I was welcome to fill up as many plates as I liked and eat at my leisure while they packed up. So I did, and washed them down with a Tsing Tao. I found the food to be the equal of other buffets I have visited, just wish I could have had more time, but that wasn't their fault. Lire plus

If you havent been, you should definitely visit this restaurant, and then visit it again and again. If you have a gluten allergy, the staff will do their best to suggest and accommodate you with menu items that are fresh and very satisfying. This is the first restaurant I have ever been to that makes gluten free soya sauce available to their diners upon request, and I have been to a lot of Japanese Chinese fusion restaurants. We (myself and my daughters) stopped by on route from the Ottawa to home (Hamilton) on Sunday August 8th to order take out. Our family has stopped at the Gateway Restaurant for decades to enjoy their always delicious family style meals. We ordered club sandwich platters and a BLT platter- sooooo delicious as always. Pembroke is really lucky to have such a full-fledged buffet. Everything is well cooked and unlike some places, doesn't all taste the same. The spicy pork is really spicy and has a fresh taste. The chicken balls have lots of meat and the red sauce goes well with them. If you arrive too early some dishes won't be ready, but when they are ready, the staff keep everything replenished quickly. You won't leave hungry! I LOVE the shrimp skewers! The atmosphere is nice and calm, although it's a little chilly in the winter somtimes. The parking lot can get really full and a bit tricky to get in and out of. The staff are friendly but the need to interact is minimal in a buffet restaurant. The one lady always says "Enjoy your meal" even when there's no meal in front of you, and sometimes when you're paying and leaving. Lire plus

We were heading to Lindsay last night for the Haunted House and wanted to go out for dinner first. Looked online and found the Olympia. Decided to give it a try. We were very impressed! The food was excellent, portion sizing perfect and the service was great! We would definitely go back there if in the area again. Only drawback was we were seated by the front door and it was chilly whenever the door opened and closed. So it would have been nicer to seat in a booth but the place was very busy when we arrived.
